Your carbon-fiber briefcase clips the edge of a halfpipe, and you stumble directly into a skateboard. The skateboard immediately rolls away, as if personally offended.
You are Gorillionaire. You own seventeen buildings and a submarine. You have never been to a skate park before, and it shows. Wheels spin past your ankles. Somebody's elbow nearly removes your monocle. The whole place smells like hot asphalt, sunscreen, and — is that a churro stand? Actually, that part is acceptable.
But then you see it: a giant orange sign bolted to the front gate. CLOSED FOR GOOD. DEMOLITION: THIS SATURDAY.
'Excuse me, sign,' you say quietly, straightening your vest. 'I don't think so.'
Something blue and pink and neon green comes to a screeching stop at your feet. Two yellow eyes spin in completely different directions and then both zoom in on your face at once.
'Gorillionaire? Oh no. Oh, this is bad, y'know?'
