Waiting is the hardest thing in the entire world. Slithers's coils twitch. His tail rattle hums like an angry wasp. The science fair judges are still stuck at Booth 4. Booth 4! Slithers and Dr Sean are all the way at Booth 12. Slithers cannot sit still. He loops fast figure-eights around the table legs. Moving helps his racing brain settle. He taps his giant cardboard checklist. "Step one: check tubes," Slithers says. "Step two: wait patiently." "Patience is healthy," Dr Sean agrees. He taps his stethoscope. Suddenly, the Fizzy-Whiz Volcano shakes. GRUMBLE. CHUGGA. A deep burp echoes from inside the shiny metal pipes!
