Terms of Service

1. Who can use Our Path

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child who will use the account. Accounts are personal, non-transferable, and limited to a single household. Our Path is not a child-directed service: children may only use the app under the active supervision of the account holder.

2. The service

Our Path generates AI-written, AI-illustrated, and AI-narrated stories from inputs the account holder provides. Output is generated on demand and is not reviewed by a human before delivery. We continuously tune the underlying models and prompts, so identical inputs may produce different outputs over time.

You are responsible for reviewing every story before sharing it with a child, and for deciding whether the content is appropriate for that specific child. See Section 8 for the prohibited-use list.

3. Accounts and security

• You must provide accurate signup information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Credits and billing

Our Path is sold in prepaid credits. Each story and image generation consumes credits at the rates shown on the pricing page. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law, except for the cases described below.

• Failed generations. If a generation fails because of our system (model error, infrastructure issue, content blocked by our safety stack), we refund the credits automatically.
• Disputed charges. Initiating a chargeback on a Stripe purchase without first contacting support may revoke the granted credits proportionally to the refunded amount.
• Pricing changes. Existing credits are honored at the rate they were purchased.

5. Ownership of generated content

Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, you own the stories, characters, and images you generate through Our Path, and may use them for personal, non-commercial enjoyment with the children in your care. You may not resell generated content, redistribute it on storefronts, or use it to train competing AI systems.

You grant Our Path a limited license to process your inputs and outputs as required to deliver the service and to investigate abuse and safety incidents.

6. Inputs you provide

You confirm that any character description, photo reference, lesson, or story prompt you submit is either yours to submit or is from someone who has given you permission. Do not upload identifiable photos of real children. Do not submit inputs that target real third parties.

7. Privacy

Use of Our Path is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Children's Privacy Notice.

8. Prohibited use

You agree not to use Our Path to produce or attempt to produce:

• Sexual content of any kind, especially involving minors.
• Graphic violence, cruelty, gore, or self-harm content.
• Content that targets, harasses, or impersonates real individuals.
• Content that promotes hate, extremism, or illegal activity.
• Inputs that try to bypass safety filters, including jailbreak prompts.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice. Forfeited credits in those cases are non-refundable.

9. Service availability

Our Path is a single-operator service. We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we make no uptime guarantee. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or incident response may temporarily interrupt the service.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Our Path will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Our Path in the three months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting seanstobo@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, abuse, or legal requirement. On termination, generated content remains yours but the account and credits are deactivated.

13. Changes to these Terms

When we change these Terms in a material way we will update the "Updated" date and require account holders to re-accept before continuing to use the service.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the courts of British Columbia.
